12 days
Valencia, Madrid, Berlin

Water plays a vital role in farming and food production—all of which you’ll see (and taste) for yourself during your tour to Spain.

Visit a local farm and learn how its fields are watered through Valencia’s irrigation system, which is considered a model for sustainable farming. Then, continue on to Madrid where you’ll explore a Manchego cheese farm and discuss how the Spanish capital’s arid climate makes water conservation a priority. Finally, come together with other teachers and students in Berlin to dive deeper into The Impact of Water on Society, building a shared understanding of how to harness this important natural resource to make a bigger difference around the world.
